Dr Alison Mo

Dr Allison Mo is a haematologist at Monash Health and Austin Health, with an interest in haematology supportive care,  transfusion medicine, patient blood management, anaemia, haemostasis and thrombosis. In addition to her clinical work, she has recently completed a PhD aiming to optimise transfusion practices and related supportive care management in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes and is currently a research fellow with the Transfusion Research Unit at Monash University. Dr Mo chairs the Monash Health Patient Blood Management subcommittee. She is also passionate about education and research. She chairs the Australian and New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion Engagement and Learning Committee, and helps coordinate the International Society of Blood Transfusion "Transfusion Evidence Round-Up" program and the "Talking Transfusion" podcast.
