The Cancer Pharmacists Group (CPG) is committed to promoting and developing the role of the pharmacist in cancer services. It is the only national multidisciplinary forum for pharmacists working in cancer services in Australia.
As an integrated group within the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) we work within a truly inter-disciplinary society with experienced clinicians to promote cancer care within Australia.
A major goal of the CPG is to facilitate training, education and research within both pharmacy and cancer services helping pharmacists develop and hone the knowledge and skills to advance their careers and practice.
The CPG aims to provide quality education through a range of courses and seminars for pharmacists working in all areas of cancer and at all levels of experience. The CPG is actively involved in the COSA annual scientific meetings promoting multidisciplinary oncology learning and development.
CPG Executive Committee
Due to the evolving global medical crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and its current escalation in Australia, the COSA CPG Committee have decided to postpone the 2020 COSA CPG Foundation Clinical Practice for Cancer Pharmacists that was due to take place in Brisbane on the 17 – 19 April 2020. The Foundation Course will be postponed until the end of 2020. You will be notified once the new dates have been confirmed. The Committee have also made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 COSA CPG Advanced Clinical Practice Course until early 2021, in Melbourne.
This decision to postpone was not taken lightly and followed close monitoring of the COVID-19 outbreak. The health and safety of our delegates, speakers and sponsors is our highest priority. Most attendees have a duty to the clinical environment and directives from their workplaces limiting attendance at events during the pandemic. This was a major consideration in our decision-making process.
We look forward to welcoming you to the next COSA CPG Foundation Clinical Practice for Cancer Pharmacists Meeting in Brisbane.
